A Codex is a reliable source of knowledge of the Vast, in general or in any of its particulars. The Catalog is one such codex; the Remembry is another. Anesidore and its arrangement (the Six Orbits of Space)Link title are also a codex, as indeed are all icons. The Vast itself and even Talon can be considered codices.
