A Being's Nature is that which cannot be changed without that Being becoming a different kind of Being. A Being's Nature is the entirety of the set of characteristics which typifies that Being.

The boundaries of a Being are marked by its systole and diastole, and these are the gateways to other Natures. A Being changing past its systole becomes a lesser type of Being, a Being of a lesser Nature. A Being changing past its diastole becomes a Being of a greater Nature. (In no case is it possible for a Being to become a different Being.) In the case of Humanity, this latter process is called Apotheosis, and it is whereby you and your spouse put off your Human Nature and take on Talon Nature.
